Abstract
Education has undergone a profound transformation due to the digital era. The integration of technologies, the change in the ways of reading, the way of accessing knowledge are just the tip of the icerberg, not to mention artificial intelligence (AI), immersive environments, the merging of realities. New pedagogical approaches are emerging and there is a redefinition of the roles of the actors in the educational process. The 4.0 tutor (it is no longer known if that is the number) must be prepared to perform in this new context, characterized by ubiquity, the convergence of the digital and the physical, the metaverse, transdigitality and the need for comprehensive and personalized training.
