Abstract
Artificial intelligence is an emerging technology that has revolutionized the way we interact with the world. In the field of education, AI can be a valuable tool for university virtual tutors and college professors. However, like any technology, AI has its pros and cons. UNESCO has noted that AI has the potential to address some of the biggest challenges facing the field of education, to develop innovative teaching and learning practices, and ultimately to accelerate progress in achieving Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4. However, these rapid technological advances inevitably involve numerous risks and challenges. It is important to keep in mind that AI is not a magical solution that would seek to replace humans from their traditional roles. The output of AI must be complemented and monitored.
